The Energy Agency of Savinjska, Šaleška and Koroška region was established in 2006 within the framework of the Intelligent Energy Europe (IEE) programme, with its main founders the Municipality of Velenje (MOV), Municipality of Celje (MOC), Municipality of Slovenj Gradec (MOSG) and the Public Utility Company Velenje (KPV), for which it provides a wide range of services in the field of energy management and development of local communities.
KSSENA is leading the 3Diverse project as the most qualified and suitable partner. As the leading project coordinator, it is also suitable to lead WP1, WP4 and WP5. KSSENA also participates and assists in the implementation of the activities of Working Groups WP2, WP3, WP6 and WP7.
KOLEKTOR sETup is the sustainable energy solutions & services unit within KOLEKTOR Group one of the largest technology company in Slovenia and South-east Europe.
KOLEKTOR has in practical terms, the most experience and important knowledge in the field of development and implementation of new technological solutions, mobility and engineering of innovative energy systems related and dictated by the demand of the global market, and is thus the most suitable partner in the consortium to lead the WP3, which’s key focus will be on creating a virtual environment (“digital twin”) of the power network in the Municipality of Velenje that will enable a high-level technical and commercial simulation of the various operational conditions. KOLEKTOR is also involved in the activities to be carried out under WP2, WP4 and WP5, and supports the communication and replication activities on the WP6 and WP7.
University of Ljubljana (UL) is a public autonomous educational, scientific research and artistic institution of higher education purpose, with a very rich tradition.
UL is an important and knowledgeable partner on the 3Diverse project, with extensive knowledge and vast experience in EU project implementation. Due to the reality that the primary activities of the work package are based on the transformation of the district heating system, the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Laboratory for Refrigeration and District Energy, is in charge of leading WP2. UL is also involved and supports the implementation of activities on WP3, WP4, and WP5. The University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Laboratory for Energy Policy (LEST) leads the communication and replication activities in WP6 and WP7.
KPV was established to carry out utility activities as a public utility service for the needs of end users in the wider area of the Šaleška Valley. The company is registered to perform activities of water collection, treatment and distribution, sewerage and sewage treatment plants, public hygiene activities, supply of gaseous fuels through the gas network, steam and hot water supply, funeral activities, professional services, and activities required for the smooth conduct of the above activities.
KPV represents an important and expert partner of the 3Diverse project. Its role and tasks are primarily based on the collection, processing, analysis, and interpretation of the data, which is used on all WPs, especially on WP2 (Defossilized and efficient District Heating System with prosumers), in which KPV has a crucial role, as a regional district heating system operator and owner, and also assist in the implementation of all other WPs’ activities.
