At the beginning of 2026, the 3DIVERSE project is entering its final phase and preparing to bring together key stakeholders for its concluding public event.

DHNpype is particularly suited to preliminary analyses of network configurations or expansions, or for maintenance planning by determining heat loss hotspots on individual branches of district heating and cooling networks where the availability of operational data is limited. The program can support designers, network operators, local authorities, and investment experts by enabling quick evaluations of different maintenance or development scenarios.

The 5th International Conference Welcome Future 2025 took place in Velenje under the title »Shaping cities together: co-creating the quality of life«. The event brought together experts from Slovenia and abroad.

The 3DIVERSE project was successfully presented at the SZE 2025 International Conference, held at the Grand Hotel Bernardin in Portorož. The event brought together experts in energy, environment, digital innovation, and sustainability, all working toward the acceleration of advanced energy systems.

The University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, proudly presented the 3DIVERSE project and its innovative Rapid Network Analysis Tool at the 1st African edition of the SDEWES (Sustainable Development of Energy, Water and Environment Systems) Conference, held in Morocco.

We are pleased to announce that DisCoNetHeat, developed under the framework of the 3DIVERSE project, is now publicly available! The tool was created by our partner, the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering.

On 22 April 2025, as part of the 3DIVERSE project, an online workshop titled "Unlocking the Potential of 3DIVERSE Results" was held, where key project outcomes were presented to stakeholders. The event gathered participants from across the region, including representatives from Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and North Macedonia. The workshop aimed to share knowledge, experiences, and solutions related to the green transition of the coal-dependent Savinjsko-Šaleška region.

The 3DIVERSE project has entered its final six months, marking a crucial phase of finalizing and reviewing the results achieved throughout its duration. As we complete the remaining activities, our focus is on ensuring the long-term visibility and impact of the project's outcomes.
This fifth edition of the newsletter highlights recent achievements, key developments, and the next steps toward maximizing the use and dissemination of the 3DIVERSE models beyond the project's lifetime.

In the Savinjsko-Šaleška region, which is facing the challenges of gradually phasing out coal mining, one of the most important projects towards a green transition is the 3Diverse project. Supported by European funding through the LIFE program, the project introduces innovative approaches to decentralization, diversification, and dynamic load balancing of energy infrastructure.
